Kids and Families
Yep. Kids and Families are definitely welcome. Children under 13 are admitted at a discounted rate and Babes in Arms (defined as not needing a bed) are free. Anyone under 18 must be accompanied by a Parent or Guardian to gain entry to the event. Parents and Guardians are responsible for the actions and welfare of their children while onsite.
Drumming and Fire Circle Basics
Community drums and noisemakers will be available for all to use at the event. Everyone is encouraged to play along!
Community drums are typically uncovered and standing up and there will be a space set aside for instruments that are clearly available to all to play. Communitey instruments are just that - they are for anyone and everyone in the community to use and share. They are not for one person to "claim" or hoard. You may go to play a community djembe and they may all be in use.
Registration
Sorry, no. Folks are expected to attend all 3 of the Main Event Fires.
Part of this is to reduce event staff but, more importantly, Friday is about shedding the dross of the mundane world and building a rapport with others. If you show up Saturday, you may find yourself "behind" and find it more of a challenge to get as plugged in as everybody else.
